DNOM auction rules

Version dnom-auction-v1. Auctions currently include DNOM-owned domains only. Create a buyer account and verify your email before bidding.

All prices are in USD. Each accepted bid is the amount you enter and is a commitment to purchase if you win and the reserve is met. There is no proxy bidding. Check your amount carefully; accepted bids cannot be withdrawn through the website. Contact support immediately if you make a mistake.

The opening bid and minimum next bid are shown on each auction. The reserve amount is confidential; the auction shows whether it has been met. Bids below the reserve may be accepted, but a sale occurs only when the final bid reaches the reserve. Leading bidders cannot increase their own bid.

Server time determines whether a bid arrives before closing. A bid in the final two minutes extends bidding to two minutes after that bid, with extensions capped at one hour beyond the original closing time. Refresh the auction to check the latest price and closing time.

If an auction ends without meeting its reserve, automatic relisting starts a fresh seven-day auction at the same opening bid, reserve and increment. Previous bids do not carry forward and do not create a purchase obligation. Administrators can turn off relisting or cancel the current auction. Withdrawn, sold or unavailable domains are not relisted. The highest valid bidder wins when the reserve is met. The winner must pay through DNOM’s secure checkout within 48 hours of the auction being closed. Payment status is confirmed by the payment provider. Unpaid auctions enter manual review; they are not automatically sold again.

DNOM may cancel an auction if a domain becomes unavailable, ownership cannot be confirmed or there is an error or suspected abuse. A cancelled auction does not create a purchase obligation. Domain transfers begin after confirmed payment and follow the purchase terms. Bidder labels protect customer identity; DNOM retains account-linked bid records for administration.
